Cassell Coliseum is located in Blacksburg, Virginia, and serves as the home court for the Virginia Tech Hokies men's and women's basketball teams. The venue is named after Stuart K. Cassell; a former Vice President of Administration and a primary supporter of the construction of the venue.
Cassell Coliseum opened for business in January of 1962. Although this is among the oldest venues in the ACC, it still has plenty to offer.
The seating capacity at Cassell Coliseum is 10,052. This is not the largest venue in the conference, but Hokies fans love what it has to offer. They do a great job making Cassell Coliseum a hostile and loud environment during each and every home game.
With a long, rich history, as well as modern updates, Cassell Coliseum is one of the best college basketball venues in the country.
