Miley teases extended Los Angeles residency: ‘I feel so safe here’
Miley Cyrus has been vocal about the toll of touring, and as a result, she’s performed very limited shows in recent years. Her last two headlining tours, the Milky Milky Milk Tour in 2015 and the Attention Tour in 2022, each had fewer than ten shows. Since 2022, she’s done only a handful of festival and award show performances.
However, with her 2026 Hollywood Bowl dates coming up, Miley may have found a version of live performance that works for her and satisfies the intense demand to see this superstar live. She’s expressed her love of Los Angeles and passion for sharing the city with others, making it clear there’s nowhere else she’d make her performance home base.
Hollywood Bowl Dates & Tickets
Miley first announced two Hollywood Bowl performances on September 1, 2026. The shows will take place on October 16 and 18 with special guest Model/Actriz. Ticket demand immediately soared to half a million for these limited dates, and they sold out on the primary market nearly immediately. However, if you missed the initial on-sale for these highly anticipated shows, don’t worry. Tickets are still available via the resale market.
- Dates: Friday, October 16 & Sunday, October 18, 2026
- Location: Hollywood Bowl, Hollywood, CA
- Opener: Model/Actriz
- Showtime: 7:30 PM
Miley Hints at Extending her Hollywood Bowl Residency
In an Apple Music interview, released yesterday, Miley discussed her struggles with touring in the past. She said she booked her two nights at the Hollywood Bowl as the “ultimate dress rehearsal” for a more extended residency, where she could still perform live without the isolation and fatigue of touring.
She said of the half million people who queued up for tickets to her two-night run, “I’ve learned now through the queue that my calculations are correct, and people will come to me."

Why She Chose Los Angeles
In the same interview, Miley discussed the appeal of a hometown residency, making it clear why she had chosen Los Angeles and the Hollywood Bowl for her newest performances. Of Los Angeles, she said, “This place really has my heart.”
Reminiscing on her first time visiting Los Angeles for pilot season, she continued, “I remember going straight to Santa Monica, going to the beach, and thinking, ‘this is the best place in the universe’.”
Miley described in detail the importance of remaining at home in this phase of life, describing her love of her morning routine, her animals, and her comfortable bed.
She also gushed about her community in Los Angeles, saying, “Anything that happens, I’m so backed here. I feel so safe here. Because everyone that makes me safe is like ten minutes away.”
She emphasized her desire to drive Los Angeles tourism as well, saying, “Bringing people to Los Angeles is not only great for me, but it’s great for my city.”
New Music: Bass Persuades
Bass Persuades was released today, September 18. The album features Miley’s rich, gritty vocals, a truly retro rock-and-roll feel, and some almost ‘80s Madonna-esque dance tracks.
We can surely expect to hear several of these new songs in Miley’s Hollywood Bowl setlist. The bigger question is: how deep into her expansive discography is Miley going to go during these shows? Unfortunately, we won’t know the answer until October, but with her recent Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special, released on Disney+, we know that she isn’t shying away from her past as much as she once did.
