The Abraham Chavez Theatre, often referred to simply as Chavez Theatre, is a popular concert hall in El Paso, Texas. Adjacent to the Williams Convention Center, the Chavez Theatre has a beautiful three story glass entrance, and its exterior is said to resemble a sombrero. The elegant interior of the Chavez Theatre hosts a generous 5000 square foot lobby with the convenience of a meeting room adjacent to the theater. The stage is approximately 40x50 feet, and there are 14 dressing rooms to accommodate the performers.
The Chavez Theatre plays host to a wide array of events, including the El Paso Symphony Orchestra. The venue is named after the Orchestra’s longtime conductor, Maestro Abraham Chavez. Many other events and performances take place at the Chavez Theatre annually, from Broadway performances to concerts and even graduation ceremonies.
