Born and raised in Oakdale, New York, Michael Carbonaro began performing magic professionally as a child. He continued to perform well into his teen years, earning money for his college tuition and going on to study experimental theater at NYU. His goal was to entertain audiences through a variety of mediums, including hidden camera magic. He would later showcase these talents as a frequent guest star on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Carbonaro’s late night TV appearances launched his career into stardom, resulting in the creation of his hit comedic and hidden camera magic series, The Carbonaro Effect. The series features the magician performing inventive tricks of illusion and mystery on unsuspecting people in public, all while posing as an ordinary member of society himself. Carbonaro regularly showcases his unique talents on the road through his national theater tour, Michael Carbonaro Live!
