Hadestown blends elements of modern American folk music and vintage New Orleans jazz to reimagine the classic dual myths of Orpheus and Eurydice, and Hades and Persephone. Created by singer-songwriter Anaïs Mitchell and director Rachel Chavkin, the production follows the young dreamer Orpheus as he journeys to the industrial underworld to rescue Eurydice. Audiences can expect soaring vocals, intricate choreography, and a mesmerizing onstage band that drives the emotional depth of the narrative forward from the opening number to the final curtain call.
