What Is Pentatonix?
Pentatonix is a five-person a capella group formed in 2011 that rose to fame when they won The Sing-Off. The group currently includes original members Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, Kristin Maldonado, Kevin Olusola, and newer bass singer Matt Sallee.
The group took off online with viral pop covers and medleys, but what really drove their growth was their Christmas arrangements. Covers of “Mary, Did You Know?” and “Carol of the Bells” are fan favorites that secured the band as a holiday staple.
Tour Production & Stage Setup
Pentatonix's Christmas in the City Tour features a large main stage and a smaller B-stage positioned in the middle of the arena. The two-stage setup gives the group room for its full holiday production while also creating a more intimate experience for fans throughout the venue.
The show is divided into two sets with an intermission, giving it a more theatrical, variety-show feel. Production highlights include holiday-themed visuals, individual member showcases, interactive audience segments, and a stripped-down ground-microphone performance during the encore.
2026 Christmas Tour Setlist
The 2026 Christmas in the City Tour includes a setlist of crowd favorites and surprises. Each night is slightly different, as the band plays a dice game to decide which songs they’ll perform in the first set. However, staples like “White Winter Hymnal” and “Hallelujah” are expected at every stop.

How Long Is a Pentatonix Concert?
Pentatonix concerts last around 2 hours and 10 minutes, including a 20-minute intermission. The band starts slightly after the scheduled start time and performs for around 45 minutes before the intermission. The second act lasts around 50 minutes, and the show concludes with a 15-minute encore.
When to Arrive
Arrive at a Pentatonix concert at least 45 minutes before showtime for the smoothest entry experience. This allows time to park, get through security, and find your seat. If you want to explore the venue and buy merchandise or concessions, you can arrive even earlier. Since the group performs with no opening act, you won’t want to be late to your seat.
