The Toronto Maple Leafs are a professional hockey team in the Northeast Division of the National Hockey League. The franchise was established in 1917 which makes it one of the oldest in the league. From 1917 to 1918 the team was known as the Toronto Arenas. This changed from 1919 to 1927 when they were called the St. Patricks. Finally, in 1927 the team took the Maple Leafs name as it remains today.

Scotiabank Arena is the home ice of the Toronto Maple Leafs. This venue opened in 1999, and is widely regarded as one of the top indoor arenas in Canada. This is evident every time that the Maple Leafs have a home game. The team loves the arena, and the fans seem to share the same enthusiasm.

Many great players have worn the Maple Leafs jersey. Some of the best include Turk Broda, Johnny Bower, King Clancy, Tim Horton, Ted Kennedy, Syl Apps, Darryl Sittler, and George Armstrong among many others.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have one of the greatest histories in all of professional sports. This great tradition is sure to continue for many more years to come.

The Scotiabank Arena, also known as the ACC, opened its doors to sporting events, concerts, and other shows in early 1999. Since then, hundreds of events have taken place inside.

To keep the Scotiabank Arena rocking at all times, there are four major tenants. They include the Toronto Maple Leafs of the NHL, the Toronto Raptors of the NBA, the Toronto Rock of the NLL, and the Toronto Phantoms of the AHL. It is safe to say that without the Scotiabank Arena that all of the sports teams would never be able to survive.

One of the biggest benefits of the Scotiabank Arena is the way that it can be converted to host a number of different events; hence the name multi purpose arena. For NBA games the Scotiabank Arena can seat almost 20,000 fans. For NHL games this decreases a bit to about 18,900 fans. Concerts are the same as basketball games, and there are even many theatre events that allow a little more than 5,000 spectators to pack the Scotiabank Arena.

And speaking of theatre concerts, the Scotiabank Arena has something special to offer. Within the larger Scotiabank Arena, the Best Buy Theatre is located inside. This theater is used for concerts and family shows among many other events.

During 2008 the Scotiabank Arena will undergo construction of the west side of the building. This will allow the Scotiabank Arena to be connected to the future Maple Leaf Development.

The Scotiabank Arena has a lot to offer spectators. In addition to modern amenities, the ACC brings in the best events year in and year out.
