Thom Yorke is an English musician and composer, as well as the lead singer and songwriter for alt-rock band Radiohead. By 1993, the band had earned recognition with their debut single, "Creep." The song, which appeared on the band's first album Pablo Honey, rose to number two on the U.S. modern rock chart and number seven in the United Kingdom. Yorke released his debut solo album, The Eraser, in 2006. The highly successful debut featured a collection of electronic singles recorded during Radiohead's 2004 hiatus. It peaked at number three in the U.K., and number two in the U.S., Canada and Ireland and was nominated for the 2006 Mercury Prize and the 2007 Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album. In 2014, Yorke released his second solo album, Tomorrow's Modern Boxes, which became the most torrented album of 2014.
