Coronavirus Update

The Toronto Maple Leafs are resuming the remainder of their 2019-2020 season in the NHL "bubble," located in Toronto, ON. The "bubble" is intended to keep NHL staff, players, and their families safe from complications related to COVID-19, and does not permit fan attendance at games. The Toronto Maple Leafs are a professional hockey team in the Northeast Division of the National Hockey League. The franchise was established in 1917 which makes it one of the oldest in the league. From 1917 to 1918 the team was known as the Toronto Arenas. This changed from 1919 to 1927 when they were called the St. Patricks. Finally, in 1927 the team took the Maple Leafs name as it remains today.

Many great players have worn the Maple Leafs jersey. Some of the best include Turk Broda, Johnny Bower, King Clancy, Tim Horton, Ted Kennedy, Syl Apps, Darryl Sittler, and George Armstrong among many others.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have one of the greatest histories in all of professional sports. This great tradition is sure to continue for many more years to come.
