Rapper and singer/songwriter Tobi Lou stepped into the spotlight in 2015 with the release of his debut single "Game Ova." After initially pursuing a career in pro baseball, Lou sustained injuries that led to him returning home to Chicago and eventually to Los Angeles, where he developed a passion for music and developed his signature upbeat sound. In February 2018, he released the tobi lou and Moon project, leading to the unveiling of his popular music video "Troop" featuring Smino. Lou quickly released his follow-up EP tobi lou and the Loop just two months after his previous release.
