The Oklahoma City Thunder are resuming the remainder of their 2019-2020 season in the NBA "bubble," located in Orlando, FL. The "bubble" is intended to keep NBA staff, players, and their families safe from complications related to COVID-19, and does not permit fan attendance at games.
The Oklahoma City Thunder competes in the NBA league’s Western Conference as a member of the Northwest Division. Formed in 1967 as the Seattle SuperSonics, the team enjoyed considerable success, qualifying for the NBA playoffs 22 times, gaining the division title six times, and winning the 1979 NBA championship. In 2008, the team became the OKC and went on to win their first division title as the Thunder in the 2010-11 season, followed by their first Western Conference championship.
