Ben Folds is an American piano player and singer-songwriter from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Folds found fame in the mid-nineties with his band Ben Folds Five. Curiously, the band consisted of only three members. After they temporarily disbanded in 2000, Folds made a name for himself as a solo act, and set off on several global tours.
Folds has collaborated with a number of popular artists, including Weird Al Yankovic, Regina Spektor, and even William Shatner. He has toured with several acts, ranging from Weezer to Rufus Wainwright, and has been featured all over the globe.
