Andrew Belle had already established him self as a prominent singer/songwriter before the release of his debut album, performing and songwriting tirelessly to the point that he was recognized with a John Lennon Songwriting Award in 2009. His debut album The Ladder arrived the following year, drawing on indie folk influences. It’s 2013 follow-up Black Bear saw the artist exploring amore dreamy/electronic direction, with Belle citing acts like M83 and Beach House as influences. Black Bear marked his first appearance on the Billboard 200. His third album, Dive Deep, remained in the same stylistic vein as Black Bear, hitting shelves in 2017.
