Tony Bennett
In his early years, Tony Bennett was often compared to Frank Sinatra, sparking an attempt to separate himself from any previous associations. He began singing mainstream pop songs, and caught the attention of younger crowds as well as women. In the 1950’s Bennett had multiple number one hit singles, but he continued to refine his musical style with the emergence of rock and roll. He persevered, changing with the times, eventually creating his own brand of performances through jazz songs and show tunes, and has continued to be very popular among a broad spectrum of fans ever since.
