MC5

MC5 formed in 1964 in Lincoln Park, Michigan and emerged onto the punk rock scene with leftist political ties and an anti-establishment sound that garnered attention from Rolling Stone. The band’s innovative, energetic style earned them immediate success with their release of their debut album, Kick Out The Jams in 1969. Often cited as one of the most important American rock groups of their era, MC5 would release just two more albums before the band split in 1972. They have been nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002, 2016 and 2018.

Wayne Kramer is the only surviving member who is still performing. Recently, he announced he would be touring with a revamped version of MC5 featuring an all-star lineup in honor of the 50th anniversary of Kick Out The Jams. Don’t miss out on this once-in-a-lifetime experience!
