The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion serves the Greater Houston region when it comes to the performing arts ranging from contemporary music and classical performances to modern opera and ballet.
Located in The Woodlands, Texas, the outdoor amphitheater is also sometimes called The Woodlands Pavilion. It features 6,347 covered reservation seating and 9,668 lawn seats. Accessible seating is dedicated to guests with disabilities and other special needs.
Free parking is provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Paid parking is limited and can be purchased prior to the event. Tailgating is not allowed within the pavilion or surrounding parking lots. Visitors may also reach the venue via shuttle bus or taxi.
If rain is forecast within the area, small umbrellas may be brought, although some shows may restrict the use of umbrellas, in which case wearable rain gear is encouraged. All baggage is subject to inspection unless bags are restricted by the event. Laptops, tablets, audio and video equipment, cameras with detachable lenses, selfie sticks and portable TVs and radios are not allowed.
Empty plastic water bottles may be brought and filled by water fountains provided on the venue. Other beverages are not allowed unless brought for medical purposes. In this case, items need to be checked by a gate supervisor and will be kept in First Aid. Food is allowed in the venue provided that it is placed in a one-gallon Ziploc bag. The venue also has concessions for a range of food selections.
