Matchbox Twenty 2020 Tour – Dates & Tickets

Matchbox Twenty are gearing up to hit the road! The alt-rockers have revealed plans for a massive North American run, coming to a stage near you this summer!

The 50+ date trek gets underway July 17 in Bethlehem, PA and will go on to hit a slew of cities including Mansfield, Nashville, Houston, Indianapolis, and Salt Lake City. A final performance in Los Angeles, CA will bring the curtain down on September 28.

The Wallflowers will serve as support on all dates.

The newly announced tour marks Matchbox Twenty’s first outing since 2017, when they reunited in celebration of the 20th anniversary of their debut album, Yourself of Someone Like You.

“I’m proud to be a part of the greatest pop rock band in the world and I can’t wait to play with them again,” frontman Rob Thomas shared in a statement. “Stepping on stage with Matchbox and sharing those songs with the fans feels as natural as breathing to me at this point.”

Who are Matchbox Twenty?

Alternative rock group Matchbox Twenty stepped into the spotlight in 1995, skyrocketing to international fame with the release of their debut album Yourself or Someone Like You one year later. The album earned a 12x Platinum certification in the US, as well as a multi-platinum certification in Australia, Canada, and New Zealand. Mad Season followed in 2000, bringing with it continued success and charting in the top three on the Billboard 200. In 2003, Matchbox Twenty released their third studio album More Than You Think You Are, earning a 2x platinum certification.

In 2004, Matchbox Twenty went on hiatus following the departure of their rhythm guitarist. They reunited in 2007, releasing a compilation album, Exile on Mainstream, earning a gold certification in the US. Following a tour in support of the album, the band entered another hiatus while frontman Rob Thomas ventured into a successful solo career. They joined forces once more in 2010, releasing their fourth studio album, North in 2012, once again reaching the top of the Billboard 200.
