Bell MTS Place - Winnipeg, MB
Bell MTS Place only has one main tenant, the Manitoba Moose of the AHL. But although they are the only steady tenant, this venue does not have any trouble staying occupied throughout the year. In 2005 Bell MTS Place hosted the Juno Awards, and during the same year the Toronto Raptors and Portland Trail Blazers of the NBA also faced off in a preseason game. In 2006 the AHL All Star game was held at Bell MTS Place.
This arena can hold a little over 15,000 people for hockey games, and just about the same for other events such as concert. Since opening its doors in 2004 Bell MTS Place has been well known for its excellent sound, and for this reason more and more performers are visiting the venue.
The people of Manitoba are very proud of Bell MTS Place, and for good reason. Although this modern indoor arena has only been doing business for a couple of years, it has already become well known all over the world to be a top notch venue for sporting events, concerts, and shows. Not only has this done wonders as far as entertainment is concerned, but it has also helped the economy in the area as well.
