Scott Stadium is located in Charlottesville, Virginia, and serves as the home field for the University of Virginia Cavaliers football team. The official name of this venue is The Carl Smith Center, Home of David A. Harrison III Field at Scott Stadium. As you can imagine, that is a mouth full so it is much easier to simply call it Scott Stadium.
Scott Stadium opened in 1931, and has been hosting college football games ever since. Its old age has allowed for a rich history. But with that being said, this does not mean that Scott Stadium is out of date. In fact, several renovations have helped to make sure that the venue is always modern, and catering to the needs of fans and players.
The seating capacity at Scott Stadium is 61,500. This is not the largest stadium in the ACC, but this does not seem to bother Cavaliers fans. In fact, the fan atmosphere at Scott Stadium is one of the best in the entire country.
All in all, Scott Stadium has plenty to offer anybody who shows up for a game. For this reason, you should not pass the opportunity by if you have the chance to see a college football game at this venue.
