Jennifer Odessa Nettles is an American country music artist. She is known primarily for her role as lead vocalist of the duo Sugarland alongside Kristian Bush. Before Sugarland's inception, she also fronted Atlanta, Georgia-based bands called Soul Miner's Daughter and Jennifer Nettles Band. She also charted as a duet partner on the country version of rock band Bon Jovi's 2006 single "Who Says You Can't Go Home", a Number One hit on the Billboard country charts.
Jennifer Nettles announced on Twitter Dec. 16 that some tour dates for the “That Girl Tour” have been set and the tour will kick off in Washington, D.C. on Feb. 14, 2014. The CD will be released on Jan. 14, 2014. This is Jennifer Nettles first solo project, the female half of the duo “Sugarland’. This is not the first time a member of “Sugarland” has branched out on their own. The band started as a trio but in 2006 band member Kristian Bush left the band to concentrate on songwriting. But Nettles has reassured fans that the duo has not split up, that she is just taking some time to pursue her “That Girl” solo CD and tour.
