Australian brothers Clinton and Mitchel Cave first released their own music via their YouTube channel in 2011 before joining forces with friend Christian Anthony, officially forming Chase Atlantic later the same year. The trio began to collaborate on new content as well as expanding on the Cave brothers' previous online releases, incorporating elements from hip-hop and trap music into alternative pop/rock songs. Chase Atlantic released their debut EP, Dalliance, in 2014. Nostalgia followed the next year, marking a shift in musical direction with a sound that featured a more indie-pop style in addition to the pop-punk sound of their earlier releases, spawning the viral single “Friends.” After dropping a series of EPs (Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3 ) in 2017, the trio finally released their self-titled debut studio album later that same year. The album generated even more hit singles, including “into It, “Okay,” and “Dancer in the Dark.” Since the release of their debut album, Chase Atlantic has extensively toured across the U.S., both as an opening and headlining act.
