Reggae rock outfit Passafire emerged from Savannah, Georgia in 2003. Formed by college students, the group amassed a loyal following through touring with the likes of Pepper, Rebelution, Matisyahu, Michael Franti, Slightly Stoopid, and the Wailers. Passafire made their mainstream breakthrough with the release of their fourth studio album Start From Scratch, reaching the number one spot on Billboard's Top Reggae Albums chart. Vines followed in 2013, bringing the group to the top of the charts once again. Passafire's most recent album, Longshot, was released in 2017.
