If you’ve been looking for an excuse to go to Vegas, you’re in luck—this week’s list of ticket releases includes three events in the city. From an all-star music festival to what’s being called a “super-fight,” Sin City has more than its share of prime entertainment coming up. And in the rest of the country? The biggest news may just be Kenny Rogers’ final show ever—and a special guest who might be worth the price of entry alone.
With a career spanning nearly six decades, country icon Kenny Rogers has made an undeniable mark on the music world—and you can bet he’ll be going out with a bang. The Gambler is currently on tour for his “Last Deal” tour, and he just announced the star-studded lineup for his final performance. Scheduled for October 25 at Bridgestone Arena in—where else?—Nashville, the show will feature Little Big Town, Alison Krauss, The Flaming Lips, Idina Menzel, Jamey Johnson, Elle King and none other than Dolly Parton. If fans can hear the Country Music Hall of Famers sing their smash hit “Islands in the Stream” just one more time, they might forgive Rogers for retiring. Tickets are on sale now.
Mayweather vs. McGregor
Fighting and Vegas go together like tacos and Tuesdays, and on August 26, boxing legend Floyd Mayweather and UFC champ Conor McGregor will have a showdown for the ages at the T-Mobile Arena.
Hartbeat Weekend Presents Dave Chappelle, Kevin Hart and Usher
Speaking of Las Vegas, Hartbeat Weekend is happening at the flashy Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. Brash comedian Dave Chappelle and multiple Grammy winner Usher will join Kevin Hart for his annual show September 1-3. This fun weekend of music and laughs benefits Kevin Hart Charities and BrittiCares International, which works to improve the quality of life for children with cancer.
Brian Setzer Orchestra
Brian Setzer, that Rockabilly Stray Cat who has never strayed from his pompadour roots, is taking his big band out on the road for 26 shows in November and December, starting at the Fox Theater in Detroit on November 15. The tour wraps up at the Paramount Theater in Seattle on December 26, stopping everywhere from Billings to Biloxi in between.
iHeartRadio Music Festival
This two-day Las Vegas music festival returns for its sixth year, with a lineup including The Weeknd, Lorde, Coldplay, Kings of Leon, Chris Stapleton, Big Sean, Pink, Harry Styles, Miley Cyrus, Niall Horan, DJ Khaled and David Guetta. It’s all happening on the weekend of September 23 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Wilco, that lovable alt-rock Americana band from Chicago led by frontman Jeff Tweedy, has announced a handful of concerts with stops in Asheville, Kansas City, Memphis, Birmingham, El Paso and more.
Aaron Lewis and Blackberry Smoke
“Northern Redneck” and former Staind frontman Aaron Lewis is co-headlining 15 shows with Altanta’s own Americana favorites, Blackberry Smoke. The Sinners and Sanctified Tour kicks off October 12 in Shreveport, LA, and runs through mid-November in the eastern half of the country, with one show in Irving, Texas.
