As temperatures shift, so do the types of events to get excited about: from hockey to football to Disney on Ice, there are lots of shows that will get you in the mood for moodier weather.

J-Lo

Jennifer Lopez once again proved her prowess when she emerged onto the Las Vegas entertainment scene last year. Now in the industry for nearly 30 years, the actress/singer/dancer adds a new date to her residency at the AXIS at Planet Hollywood, which will continue to host the show in 2018.

Rose Bowl

Fall weather is afoot and so is the game that both unites and divides fans: football. While college teams spend the season battling their way to the top, the Rose Bowl date has already been set for New Year’s Day in, as always, Pasadena, California.

Pittsburgh Penguins

Hockey fans of Pennsylvania will rejoice this week as the Pittsburgh Penguins release a series of dates, with tickets going on sale for matchups against such teams as the Carolina Hurricanes, Chicago Blackhawks, New York Islanders and Dallas Stars. The Penguins’ home games are played at the PPG Paints Arena, formerly the Consol Energy Center.

The Lion King

Broadway musical The Lion King continues its adventure outside of Manhattan and will make a stop at the Hippodrome Performing Arts Center in Baltimore just after Thanksgiving. The family-friendly story about the circle of life has been telling audiences, “Hakuna Matata,” since it debuted on Broadway in 1997.

That’s not the only Disney show getting some play: This week brings new dates for the whole crew from the Magic Kingdom:
