Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, aka the “New Coliseum” is set to re-open on April 5 following more than a year of extensive renovations to the arena that first opened in 1972. The last concert prior to closing was Billy Joel, and The Piano Man will play its first show back. Joel kicks off a month of mega-stars performing at Nassau, including Stevie Nicks and the Pretenders, Lionel Richie and Mariah Carey, and Marc Anthony. Other events during its first month back will be the Harlem Globetrotters, Monster Jam and WWE Monday Night Raw.
