The Miami Dolphins compete in the AFC East Division of the National Football League. They were founded in 1966, and played in the American Football League until 1970. At that time they moved to the NFL, and they have been there ever since. Over time, the Dolphins have built up a national fan base that takes great pride in their team year in and year out.
The Dolphins play their home games at Dolphin Stadium (now Land Shark Stadium), and have called the venue home since 1987. As one of the nicer stadiums in the league, the Dolphins never have a hard time drawing a sell out crowd. And to go along with the appreciation that the fans show for the venue, the Dolphins players love it just as much.
Many great players have suited up for the Dolphins in the past, and this is sure to hold true for years to come. Some of the best Dolphins players of all time include Dan Marino, Bob Griese, and Larry Csonka among many others.
All in all, the Miami Dolphins are established as one of the best teams to ever play in the National Football League. With so much to offer, including a competitive team, a great stadium, and beautiful weather, Dolphins tickets are always in high demand.
Sun Life Stadium (previously known as Joe Robbie Stadium, Pro Player Stadium, Pro Player Park, Dolphins Stadium and Landshark Stadium) is a football, lacrosse, soccer and baseball stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, a suburb north of Miami. The stadium serves as host to both the Miami Dolphins and the Florida Marlins. Despite the many name changes the venue has been popular since opening in 1987. This can be seen in the number of Sun Life Stadium tickets that are sold to any event that is taking place.
The stadium has been home to the Miami Dolphins since 1987 and to the Florida Marlins since 1993. However, stadium management has indicated that the Marlins must find a new venue by the end of their current lease. It has been the site of the FedEx Orange Bowl game since 1996, except for the January 1999 contest between Florida and Syracuse, which had to be moved due to a conflict with a Dolphins playoff game. Sun Life Stadium has played host to five Super Bowls in 1989, 1995, 1999, 2007 and 2010, two World Series (1997 and 2003), and numerous concerts, featuring entertainers such as U2, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Elton John, Billy Joel, Chicago, Genesis, Gloria Estefan, Guns N' Roses, The Who, Hall & Oates, Rod Stewart, Paul McCartney, and The Three Tenors.
