Meat Puppets

From Phoenix, AZ comes alt-rockers Meat Puppets. The band first stepped onto the scene in 1980 as a punk rock group, eventually establishing their own unique style that incorporated elements of country and psychedelic rock. The band gained significant exposure in 1993 following an appearance on Nirvana’s infamous MTV Unplugged performance, and as a result, their 1994 album Too High to Die became their most successful. Several bands have cited Meat Puppets has an influence including Nirvana, Soundgarden, and Sublime.
