Meet Incognito
British acid jazz group Incognito was founded in 1979 as an offshoot of Light of the World. The group released their debut album Jazz Funk two years later in 1981, and would go on to enjoy intermittent success in the UK Singles Chart over the next few years. Their breakthrough would come in 1991 with the release of their hit cover of Ronnie Laws' "Always There," reaching number six in the UK. Their 1992 single "Don't You Worry 'bout a Thing" saw similar success, reaching number 19. Incognito has endured several lineup changes over the course of the career, with artists including Jocelyn Brown, Maysa Leak, Tony Momrelle, Imaani, and Carleen Anderson among the many who have joined.
