The Killers haven’t released an album in five years, but here’s some news from Mr. Brightside: Their fifth studio album, Wonderful Wonderful, is set to come out on Sept. 22. And “somebody told me” that this new album means a new tour.
Expect the same magnetic energy and contagious intensity from these Vegas rockers that they’ve shown during their four previous tours, making them one of the most popular bands of this century. The tour lineup features original members Brandon Flowers, Dave Keuning and Tonnie Vannucci, Jr. Original bassist Mark Stoermer played on the album, but Jake Blanton will replace him on tour.
The Killers just added 12 new shows to their tour, with dates announced in January and February, kicking things off on the East Coast. Performances will include the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Tuesday, Jan. 9 and Madison Square Garden on Jan. 12. They’ll leave Gotham to hit major cities across the U.S., including Miami, Orlando, Detroit, Chicago and St. Paul. The band is set to head back to the West Coast on Jan. 30, killing it in San Diego and rocking out LA’s Staples Center on Feb. 1.
Niall Horan Flicker Tour
We can’t let the week go by without featuring one more notable artist: Niall Horan. The former member of One Direction announced his Flicker Tour last month, an intimate solo affair that showcases the Irish singer/songwriter’s funky, folky style. Tickets are available for mid-November shows in Orlando, Nashville, Atlanta, Dallas and San Francisco.
