The Jacksonville Jaguars compete in the AFC South Division of the National Football League. The team was founded in 1995 which makes them one of the newer organizations in the NFL. But despite a relatively young age, the Jaguars have managed to be quite competitive year in and year out. The Jaguars play their home games at EverBank Field. This venue opened its doors to the team in 1995, and offers a great experience to fans. Not only is there no bad seat in the house, but the views from inside and outside the stadium are breathtaking. The atmosphere alone makes EverBank Field one of the best of the best.
Quite a few great players have donned the Jaguars jersey over the years. Some of the more notable names include Tony Boselli, Mark Brunell, Jimmy Smith, Hardy Nickerson, and Natrone Means among many others.
EverBank Field (Formerly Jacksonville Municipal Stadium) is located in beautiful Jacksonville, Florida. This venue opened in August of 1995, and since then has hosted many events. Due to its relatively new age, many feel that EverBank Field is among the best in the country. Not only do fans love watching games unfold at this venue, but the players also love what it has to offer.
The Jacksonville Jaguars of the NFL are the only team that plays regular home games at the stadium. They began playing their in 1995, and will probably be there for many more years to come. The NCAA Division I College Football Gator Bowl is also played at EverBank Field each year; this started in 1996. Additionally, the ACC Football Championship Game also takes place at this stadium; this started in 2005.
For professional football games, EverBank Field can accommodate 67,164 fans. This number increases to 84,000 for college football games. As you can imagine, this seating capacity is one of the main reasons that EverBank Field has become so popular.
Despite the large capacity, finding EverBank Field tickets can be hard to do; especially if you wait too long. Jaguars’ tickets sell out fast thanks to the success of the team over the years. The same holds true many of the college football games that take place there. The 2009 Gator Bowl between Nebraska and Clemson turned out 67,282 fans. All of which were treated to a great game with Nebraska coming out on top, 26-21.
