Ben Harper is an American guitarist, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Pomona, California. He enjoys worldwide appeal, and has toured successfully on several continents. His style, an extremely original and distinctive mix of folk, blues, reggae, soul, and funk, first gained commercial success in the nineties, and grew continuously from there.
Harper has toured solo, as well as with various projects he’s put together, such as Fistful of Mercy and The Innocent Criminals. Harper has won several Grammy awards, and he was named France’s Rolling Stone Artist of the Year in 2003.
