Angels and Airwaves North American Tour

Born from a Blink-182 hiatus – Angels and Airwaves (often stylized as AVA) emerged in the fall of 2005, led by former Blink vocalist/guitarist Tom DeLonge. Despite DeLonge reigniting his career with Blink in 2009, he continued to record and tour with Angels and Airwaves until subsequently leaving Blink in 2015 to focus on AVA full-time. At the start of the group’s career, DeLonge proclaimed their music would draw on influences from bands including Pink Floyd and Radiohead while also incorporating the grandiose arena-rock vibes of U2. The band released their debut album We Don’t Need to Whisper to mixed reviews in 2006. Despite the feedback from critics, the album fared well in record sales, earning a gold certification from the RIAA. The band has released five studio albums to date, as well as a variety of related media projects including comic books, animated shorts, and live-action films over the course of their career.
