Meet Adia Victoria
Adia Victoria is a singer/songwriter whose music is classified by her “gothic blues” style. Victoria began writing poetry and short stories as a means of coping with her parent’s divorce when she was in middle school. When she started high school, her family left the Seventh-day Adventist church, allowing for Victoria to explore music she’d never been exposed to before like Kurt Cobain, Miles Davis, and Fiona Apple. After graduation, she moved around a bit, landing in Atlanta for some time where a friend gifted her with a guitar. Although her career as a telemarketer had taken off, Victoria’s interests immediately shifted to music, immediately becoming fascinated with vintage acoustic blues. She settled in Nashville (aka Music City), absorbing the sounds of her surroundings and writing her own material. She eventually became a regular presence on the Nashville club scene, gaining a devoted local following. She released her debut single “Stuck in the South” in 2014, capturing positive attention and gaining her exposure. Victoria’s debut album Beyond the Bloodhounds arrived in May 2016.
