Welcome to the 2023 Sports Equinox

For sports fans, it’s tough to beat October.

Major League Baseball reaches its finale with the World Series. Both the NBA and NHL tip off their seasons and the NFL heads into the second quarter of its season.

Rarely, there is an opportunity to witness all four of these leagues in action on the same day.

Well, today is that day. Welcome to the 2023 Sports Equinox!

It’s happened only 29 times in history, but today’s Sports Equinox is an opportunity to witness a game from the NHL, NBA, NFL, and MLB. For soccer fans, there’s even two MLS matches to partake in. Together, the NBA and NHL will showcase 20 games alone today and tonight. The Raiders will host the Lions in a Monday Night Football showdown.

This will be the only Sports Equinox to occur in 2023 so be sure to soak it in!

With the Diamondbacks hosting the Rangers tonight in Arizona, the equinox is complete – usually the rarity of the spectacle is in part to how that World Series game slides into play.

Let’s explore each of the games across these leagues. You can click on the link to find tickets so you can see the game in person.
