Meet Baroness

Baroness took the metal world by storm with their eclectic brand of heavy metal, embracing the new-millennium of the genre while adding in their own melodic accents and intelligent guitar work to the mix. Originally from Lexington, VA Baroness was established in 2003, moving to Savannah, GA around the same time. The band released their debut EP, First, two years later, followed by a second, aptly named Second, later the same year. They have since released four albums, Red Album (2007), Blue Record (2009), Yellow & Green (2012), and Purple (2015). In 2017, the band was nominated for their first Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance on their single “Shock Me.” Their sound has been described as indie rock meets post-punk.
