The Sphere Las Vegas project was announced in February 2018, and construction began soon after. It was initially a partnership between the Madison Square Garden Company (MSG) and the Las Vegas Sands Corporation; in 2022, however, Apollo Global Management purchased the Venetian and became the MSG’s new partner on the project.
