Reliant Stadium Seating Guide: Best Sections for Every Show Type
Still seeing this venue listed online as NRG Stadium? You're not wrong, you just got here a little ahead of the sign out front. In August 2026, the venue's name officially reverted to Reliant Stadium, its original name from 2002 to 2014, to coincide with the Texans' 25th anniversary season. If your tickets, GPS, or search results say NRG Stadium or Reliant Stadium, it's the exact same 72,220-seat building at Reliant Park, only the branding has changed.
Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas, is known worldwide as home to Space City's NFL franchise and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. When football season slows down, and the rodeo packs up, the building transforms for stadium-sized concert tours, motorsports, and circus events, and where you sit changes with every one of them. This guide breaks down the Reliant Stadium seating chart by event type, covers parking and transit, and lists what's on sale this fall. Shop your seats at Event Tickets Center once you know where you want to sit.
The Venue
A retractable roof gives Reliant Stadium an open-air feel when Texas weather cooperates, or a climate-controlled option when the Houston heat makes that a bad idea. The building's size keeps the atmosphere strong even on the upper levels, and the venue is built for high-production shows, with large video boards and solid acoustics for a stadium this large.
How to Get There?
Reliant Stadium sits inside the larger Reliant Park complex, just off Loop 610. Parking is spread across color-coded surface lots (Red, Orange, Yellow, Blue, Green, Purple, Teal, and more, plus Platinum lots closer to the gates), so buying a parking pass ahead of time makes for an easier walk-in on event day.
The METRORail Red Line is a solid way to skip event traffic altogether. The Stadium Park/Astrodome station drops riders right at the gates, and rideshare pickup is typically staged in the Yellow Lot area off Main Street, though fares can climb once tens of thousands of fans leave at the same time.
Seating Chart: Best Sections for Every Show Type
The Reliant Stadium seating chart doesn't have one "best" answer. The right section depends entirely on what's happening on the floor that night, so here's the breakdown by event type.
End-Stage Concerts (Stadium Tours)
For most stadium tours, the stage goes up in one of the end zones.
- Best for proximity: floor seats and GA pits put you closest to the artist, though sections farther back have no elevation, so taller fans in front can block the view.
- Best overall view: the 100-Level (Sections 105 to 108 and 125 to 128) gives good elevation over the floor while staying close to the stage.
- Best for budget: the 500 and 600 Levels (Gridiron and Terrace) sit far from the stage but offer wide views of the full production, lights and all.
Football & Field Sports (Houston Texans)
Once the turf comes back out for the Houston Texans schedule, proximity to the 50-yard line matters most.
- Best for the action: Sections 106, 107, 126, and 127 sit right behind the team benches near midfield.
- Best premium experience: 300-Level Club seats offer unobstructed views of the field, plus air-conditioned concourses, upgraded food and beverage, and private restrooms.
- Best value: 500-Level sideline sections like 506 to 508 give a "TV-style" view of the game at a lower price point than the lower bowl.
Center-Stage Shows (Rodeo, Circus, & Family Shows)
During the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, or touring circus events like the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus, the action sits in the center of the floor.
- Best for 360-degree views: because the stage or dirt is centered, there aren't really any bad angles. The 100-Level Action Seats in the first few rows put you right on top of it.
- Best for families: 300-Level Club or 500-Level sideline seats offer a bird's-eye view of everything happening at once, without paying floor-level prices.

Motorsports (Monster Jam & Supercross)
When Monster Jam tickets bring dirt, trucks, and bikes to the floor, sitting low actually works against you.
- Best for sightlines: the 300-Level and 500-Level are the better bet. Down in the 100-Level, the dirt mounds built for jumps can block the view once the action moves to the far side of the stadium.
