Inside the 2026 Broadway Revival at Studio 54
The Roundabout Theatre Company's production at Studio 54 keeps extending, now running through Feb. 28, 2027, with fresh casting and design choices that set it apart from prior stagings.
A Star-Studded Cast
The original opening cast built serious buzz for this revival. Luke Evans, Stephanie Hsu, Andrew Durand, Harvey Guillén, and Josh Rivera all played their final performances Aug. 23, 2026. Since then, the show has welcomed a new lineup, led by Jake Shears (Scissor Sisters), who stepped into Frank-N-Furter on Sept. 11, with Paul Soileau holding the role in the interim.
See the Current Cast
- Frank-N-Furter: Paul Soileau (through Sept. 10), then Jake Shears beginning Sept. 11

- Brad: Kevin McHale
- Narrator: Rachel Dratch
- Riff Raff: Amber Gray
- Magenta: Sherie Rene Scott
- Columbia: Valentina
- Eddie and Dr. Scott: George Salazar

New Costumes and Fresh Direction
Director Sam Pinkleton brings his own sensibility to this Rocky Horror Show musical, honoring the source material while making clear creative departures. Costume designer David Israel Reynoso built new looks for this run, intentionally diverging from Sue Blane's original designs used in nearly every other production. The result fits the legendary walls of Studio 54.
Remembering Tim Curry (1946-2026)
As The Rocky Horror Show enters this new era, the theater and film worlds are also mourning the man who defined the role half a century ago. Tim Curry originated Dr. Frank-N-Furter on the London stage in 1973 and brought the character to the screen in 1975's The Rocky Horror Picture Show. He died Aug. 25, 2026, at 80. Curry's performance set the tone for every actor who has stepped into the role since, including several who have worn the corset at Studio 54 this year alone. On the night following the announcement of Curry's death, the original cast sang a beautiful rendition of "I'm Going Home."
