The English singer-songwriter, composer, producer (music and film) and multi-instrumentalist became a household name in the early 1960’s when his musical career was sparked by the formation of the Beatles. The legendary bassist of the English rock band, alongside John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Star, was a paramount part of the Beatles success, and his songwriting partnership with Lennon is clearly one of the most highly celebrated musical partnerships of the twentieth century.
Born in Liverpool, England in 1942, McCartney has been on the receiving end of 21 Grammy Awards and has been inducted twice into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artists and together with the Beatles. His song “Yesterday” has been copyrighted more than any other song in history, and he has been associated with an unimaginable 60 gold discs and album sales of over 100 million. In 1997 Sir James Paul McCartney was Knighted for his musical services and attributions.
