Meet Violent J
Violent J is a rapper, producer, and pro wrestler who rose to prominence as one half of the hip-hop duo Insane Clown Posse. Violent J met Joseph Ustler (Shaggy 2 Dope) after moving to the Detroit suburb of Oak Park when he was a teen, and the two quickly became enamored with rap music, eventually releasing a single titled “Party at the Top of the Hill” under the name JJ Boys. After several run-ins with the law, Violent J embarked on a short career in pro wrestling at just 17 years old before returning to music, forming the Inner City Posse along with Utsler and his brother John. The group released one album before morphing into the wildly successful Insane Clown Posse. Violent J has released three studio albums to date, with two more rumored to be on the way in the coming years.
