Meet The Wild Reeds
Indie folk rock outfit The Wild Reeds was formed by Sharon Silva, Kinsey Lee, and Mackenzie Howe in Los Angeles in 2010. Characterized by their rich, three-part harmonies, The Wild Reeds set out to record a pair of self-produced, folk-oriented releases, teaming up with drummer Nick Jones and basisst Nick Phakpiseth. The addition of Jones and Phakpiseth vastly expanded the scope of the music that appeared on their self-released debut album Blind in Brave in 2014. The album’s release proved a major success for the up and coming musicians, who would go on to tour later that year and expand their fanbase even further. In 2016, The Wild Reeds signed a record deal and released their label-debut The World We Built early the following year.
