Pearl Jam, after a quiet 2017, is making more noise this summer with the announcement of a short series of “Home” and “Away” concert dates this summer. The Home dates in Seattle were previously set and the dates are Aug. 8 & 10 at Safeco Field. The “Away” dates are in Montana, Jeff Ament’s home state, Chicago, IL, Eddie Vetter’s hometown and the final leg will be in Boston. The Montana show is set for Aug 13 at Washington-Grizzly Stadium in Missoula. Eddie Vedder’s home of Chicago will be the next stop, returning to Wrigley Field on Aug 18 and 20. The band’s final Away show will be at Boston’s Fenway Park on Sept 2 and 4. Pearl Jam played at Fenway in 2016.
A Worthy Cause
The Rock & Roll Hall of Famers has pledged to donate at least $1 million from the concerts to fight homelessness in Seattle. They also hope to raise $10 million over the next year in collaboration with local businesses, government agencies, and non-profits to help provide much-needed assistance.
