Meet Stereolab
Stereolab emerged in the early 1990s, rising to fame on the strength of their distinct alternative style that ushered strands of pop into the world of rock and roll. Led by Tim Gane and Laetitia Sadier, Stereolab created a trademark sound that centered around spellbinding rhythms blended with mesmerizing, melodic vocals (which were often sung in French), earning them the title of one of the most influential and innovative groups of the ‘90s. The group released a total of ten full-length albums and seven compilation albums over the course of the 20-year career before announcing they would be entering an indefinite hiatus in 2009. One decade later, the post-rock outfit reunited for a string of live performances in 2019.
