Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field

The Seattle Seahawks compete in the NFC West Division of the National Football League. The organization was founded in 1976 which makes them a bit newer than some of the other teams in the league. Since joining the league the Seahawks have done a nice job winning football games, and of course, keeping fans happy year in and year out.

The Seahawks play their home games at Lumen Field; one of the nicest venues in the league. Fans love this stadium thanks to great sightlines of the field as well as concessions that are to die for. And of course, a loud atmosphere goes a long way in making Lumen Field one of the most fun places to watch an NFL game. The all around package at Lumen Field is hard to beat.

The Seahawks have achieved a lot of success over the years; this is especially true as of late. The Seahawks won their first Superbowl in 2014. They made it back to the championship game again in '15, but managed to lose their lead over the Patriots in the final minutes of a very intense game.

Many great players have competed for the Seahawks. Some of the more notable names include Steve Largent, Dave Brown, Kenny Easley, Jacob Green, Dave Krieg, Curt Warner, and Jim Zorn among many others.

Lumen Field is located in Seattle, Washington. Construction on this stadium broke in 2000, and by 2002 it was open for business. As you can imagine, due to its young age Lumen Field is one of the most modern venues in the NFL. For this reason, many fans and media feel that it is one of the top stadiums in the country. And there are not too many people who would argue this point.

The Seattle Seahawks of the NFL are the primary tenant of Lumen Field. They began playing their in 2002, and will more than likely be doing so for many more years to come. The Seattle Sounders of the USL 1 also use Lumen Field for home games. As you can imagine, this venue does not have any problems staying busy throughout the year.

Lumen Field is also used for college football games. In the past it has hosted contests featuring two popular instate teams: the Washington Huskies and the Washington State Cougars. Lumen Field tickets sell quickly when an NCAA football game comes to town.

The seating capacity at Lumen Field is 67,000. Although this is the standard capacity, it can be expanded to approximately 72,000 for special events. This versatility allows Lumen Field to host a wide range of events on a regular basis.

Lumen Field has a reputation for being one of the best places to watch an NFL game. Not only are the sightlines great, but the noise can be deafening. This makes for a great atmosphere game in and game out!
