The Samuel J. Friedman Theatre formerly Biltmore Theatre is located at 261 West 47th street in New York City, New York. More specifically, this venue is located in what is known as the midtown section of Manhattan. This is one of the nicest Broadway theatres in the city, and has been attracting visitors for quite some time.

The Friedman Theatre opened for business in December of 1925. The first play to take place at this venue was Easy Come Easy Go. But of course, since then, many more events have called the Friedman Theatre home. Early on, the Biltmore Theatre had a seating capacity of only 903. As you can imagine, this made it one of the smallest Broadway theatres around.

In 1987, a fire tore through the inside of the Friedman Theatre. This shut the venue down until 2001 at which time the Manhattan Theatre Club purchased the property. It has since been restored, and the seating capacity is now even smaller at 622.

Even though the Friedman Theatre has been through some rough times as of late, it is going as strong as ever before.
