Meet Queen Naija
From social media sensation to contemporary R&B hitmaker, Queen Naija became an overnight hit with the release of her 2018 single “Medicine.” Queen began singing and writing songs as a young child, often performing on Sundays at church. In her teen years she would go on to become known across the nation as a frequent contestant on several seasons of American Idol before social media began to take over. She and husband Chris Sails went on to start up a YouTube channel that garnered a large following of viewers. Following the couples split, Queen dove back into her music fulltime, releasing “Medicine” in April 2018. The track debuted at the number 45 spot on the Billboard Hot 100, and Queen was signed shortly thereafter. Her debut EP followed later that year, featuring tracks “Karma,” “Bad Boy,” and the song that started it all.
