Meet Pistol Annies
While writing her third album Revolution, country superstar Miranda Lambert turned to fellow country star Ashley Monroe for some help. The two collaborated on a pair of songs, including the number one hit single “Heart Like Mine.” Following the success of their first venture together, the two decided to continue with their songwriting sessions. Angaleena Presley joined in their efforts shortly after, transforming what began as a standard collaboration into a countrified girl group. Pistol Annies are characterized by their spunky sass and harmony-heavy sound. They soared to the top of the charts with the release of their debut album Hell on Heels in 2011, followed by more of the same success with the release of their second album Annie Up in 2013. Their third album Interstate Gospel is slotted to hit shelves in November 2018.
