Top 5 Best-Selling MLB Teams

Two Words Explain The Jump In Angels Ticket Sales

We’re excited to roll out the new and improved design for Event Tickets Center! We revamped our site from the ground up to provide you a faster experience finding the tickets to your favorite events. The new design is live now – check it out!

The top five best-selling events in our Event Tickets Center Sports Hot 20 are stable, but there have been BIG jumps farther down the list as Major League Baseball heads toward the All-Star Game. Who’s up? Who’s down? Who fell out of the top five? Let’s jump in.

Major League Baseball

The Kansas City Royals, Toronto Blue Jays and Los Angeles Dodgers held their spots from one through three, respectively. The Dodgers are on an absolute tear, so look for them to stay hot or even move higher when we hit July. The Boston Red Sox moved up one spot to number four and the Texas Rangers came in at number five. That means the New York Yankees, who came in fourth last week, are out of the top five…for now.

Angeles take a big leap

The other team in Los Angeles hasn’t earned too many mentions in our Sports Hot 20 series, but that changes this week: The Angels moved up 10 spots to number 11. Why the big jump? Two words: Freeway series. The Dodgers travel down The 5 to the Big A for games on Wednesday and Thursday. Angels fans – and Dodgers fans – always pack the two parks for the annual rivalry, which starts with two games at Dodger Stadium earlier in the week.

Keep an eye on…

Keep an eye on the Arizona Diamondbacks. They fell a few spots in our rankings this week, but the Rockies stumbled on the field, putting the D-backs firmly in second place in their division. Unexpected success is one of the most exciting things in sports, so don’t be surprised if baseball fans in Arizona start moving their team up the list.

International Friendly Soccer

We’ve been monitoring International Friendly soccer tickets in the Sports Hot 20 for a couple of weeks now. With new events only a few days away, the friendlies have broken back into the list, coming in at number 18. Mexico plays Ghana this Wednesday in Houston, then Mexico heads to Seattle to take on Paraguay July 1. The friendlies take a few weeks off after that before heating up again toward the end of July.

Hello, Golden Knights

The National Hockey League is the first major pro sports league to establish a team in Las Vegas (though the NFL isn’t far behind). The Vegas Golden Knights play their first home preseason game at T-Mobile Arena on September 26, and they’ll kick off their regular season home schedule October 10 against Arizona.

If you’re a hockey fan looking to plan your New Year’s Eve, consider heading to Vegas to see the Golden Knights play the Maple Leafs. Puck drops at 12:30 p.m., which gives you plenty of time to catch the game and experience Sin City before midnight.
