Summer Music Festivals Guide: From Coachella to New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival

Nothing says summer — or spring — like an outdoor summer festival. Fresh air, live music, the smell of food emanating throughout the air. The experience simply can’t be beat. If you’re craving new summer festival memories, our 2017 summer music festivals guide has you covered no matter where you live or what you like.

There’s, of course, the famous Coachella, held April 14 to 16 in sunny California. On the lineup this year is Lorde, Radiohead, Kendrick Lamar and far too many more talented artists to name. If you can only hit one festival this summer, you’d be wise to make this the one.

Looking for a festival that’s jam-packed with classic artists ranging from Kings of Leon to Snoop Dogg? Memphis is where it’s at for the Beale Street Music Festival, May 5-8.

If you need an excuse to head to New Orleans, check out the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, held in both April and May. This lineup is nothing short of amazing — from Stevie Wonder and Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers to Alabama Shakes and Kings of Leon, there is quite literally a band for everyone.

For folk and bluegrass lovers, beautiful Telluride, Colo. is the place to be June 15-18. The 44th Telluride Bluegrass Festival has a lineup that includes folk favorites Brandi Carlile, Yonder Mountain String Band, Chris Thile, Norah Jones AND Jason Mraz & His Superband.

Looking for even more options? There are PLENTY of iconic summer festivals to choose from. Get your friends together and make some memories — you won’t regret it!
