It is a HOT Friday for new event tickets going on sale, with releases from Jack Johnson, Future and Metallica. Blondie is also in the mix, as is an announcement from Chance the Rapper who just won three Grammys. PLUS: Comedy from Adam Sandler and Bring It! Live.
New Concert Tours
Chance the Rapper is one of our favorite rappers, so we loved seeing him take home three Grammys and announce a new tour. Like Future, Chance will be hitting the amphitheaters all summer, including shows May 2 and May 3 at the famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre outside Denver. So grab your Kit Kats and get ready for some awesome outdoor music.
Jack Johnson promises his first studio album in four years and just announced a U.S. tour to go along with it. If you love outdoor music, this is the tour you’ll want to catch. Jack, the former pro surfer, will be playing iconic amphitheaters like Blossom Music Center, Hollywood Bowl, Santa Barbara Bowl and more as he crisscrosses the country.
WorldWired Tour tickets go on sale for Metallica’s biggest tour since 2009. The band played a bit in 2016 but has shows booked for huge venues like AT&T Stadium in Dallas and at SunTrust Park in Atlanta, the new home of the Atlanta Braves. As the Grammy producer found out, you don’t want to make Metallica mad so you better get tickets.
Future is another one of our favorites, so we were thrilled this week when he dropped news of a new album and a 2017 tour. He blanked out on his social accounts for weeks but he’s back online and ready to hit the road. In addition to the tour he’ll be playing both weekends of Coachella in April.
Here’s an awesome pair of co-headliners set to hit the road this summer: Blondie and Garbage. Starting in July they’ll be playing a frenzied tour, hitting 23 stops in just five weeks and covering cities from Los Angeles to Philadelphia.
Straight No Chaser & Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox are teaming up for an exciting tour. With SNC performing its a cappella hits and PMJ’s unique style of cover songs, the tour’s 25 shows will be fun for fans of every musical stripe. The tour will start in Chicago and later include the first concert of the season at the Toledo Zoo Amphitheatre on July 14. It will end at Red Rocks on October 4.
Adam Sandler Announces Standup Gigs
Here Comes the Funny! Literally. Adam Sandler announced standup dates this spring for his “Here Comes the Funny” tour. He’ll be with David Spade, Nick Swardson and Rob Schneider in Sugar Land Texas and at the famed Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville. We’ve got a special Adam Sandler page to track the tour and find the stop nearest you.
Bring It! Live Back For 2017
Fans of hit TV show Bring It! on are in for a treat: A new summer tour for 2017! Miss D and the Dancing Dolls will kick things off June 24 in Baton Rouge before hitting Atlanta, New York and the Midwest, ending the tour on August 12 at Comerica Theatre in Phoenix. The dance reality series just premiered its fourth season on Lifetime.
